Absence Reporting

Please report your student absent as it is very important that we keep accurate records. It also allows us to mark your student as excused.

Parents/guardians are asked to report their student absent before 8:20 each morning their student is absent.

To report your student absent, there are three methods in which to do so:

  • ParentVUE - If you need help acquiring a ParentVUE account, please contact the school office for activation information. (520)515-2970

  • EMAIL:  PDS.Attendance@svps.k12.az.us

  • CALL: 520-515-2970

Please make sure to include the following in your email:

  1. Student's name

  2. Reason for student's absence

  3. Your relationship to the student

Please ensure your child is at school as much as possible. Studies show that good attendance is extremely important in a child's learning and knowledge retention. Also, thank you for making sure your child is on time to school. Our late bell rings at 8:00, and the earliest students should be at school is at 7:40.

Tardy Policy

Please take note that if your child is tardy to school, you will need to come to the office to sign them in. This is per the Elementary Student Handbook. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school office.

Remember to Sign In!

Parents, please remember that when visiting or volunteering at the school, you must come into the front office to sign in and get a visitor pass and then sign out when you are ready to leave.

Leaving School Early

Parents/guardians are required to sign out their student if they leave prior to the end of the school day. Please note that students will not be dismissed from class after 1:30 p.m. on normal school days and after 12:15 p.m. on Thursday early release days. We appreciate your assistance in planning accordingly.

Please make sure your contact information is kept current. Students will not be released to anyone who is not listed as an emergency contact. You can easily update your contact information in ParentVUE.
