Parent/Guardians of SVUSD Families,
District and building administrators have been made aware of threats from unidentified individuals posted to certain social media sites. The Sierra Vista Police Department is investigating these threats and will continue to closely monitor the situation. Any threats, specific to a school or not specific to a school, are taken seriously and all precautions are taken to keep our students safe. We will continue to follow all district and site safety protocols. Please discuss the importance of being responsible and safe when using any social media platforms with your child. If they are aware of any safety concerns, they should reach out to their school administrators with any information. The Sierra Vista Police Department will provide extra supervision on all campuses Monday to monitor for any activity out of the norm.
The district and building administration is working diligently to identify the sources of these types of threats, rumors and false information being posted on social media. We thank you for your assistance.
