Sierra Vista Unified School District (SVUSD) is proud to announce the release of the 2025โ2026 school letter grades by the Arizona State Board of Education, celebrating the accomplishments of students, teachers, staff, and families across the district.
This year's results highlight significant achievements, with three of SVUSD's five current schools earning an A rating. Both Pueblo del Sol Neighborhood School and Buena High School improved their ratings to an A, while Huachuca Mountain Neighborhood School maintained its A rating.
The 2025โ2026 letter grades for SVUSD's current schools are:
Buena High School โ A (Improved)
Huachuca Mountain Neighborhood School โ A (Maintained)
Pueblo del Sol Neighborhood School โ A (Improved)
Town & Country Neighborhood School โ B
Carmichael Neighborhood School โ C
The district also received final letter grades for three schools that closed as part of the district's recent consolidation:
Village Meadows โ B
Joyce Clark Middle School โ C
Bella Vista โ D
While these campuses are no longer operating as individual schools, their results remain part of the district's academic history and reflect the work of the students and educators who were part of those school communities.
"We have so much to celebrate across Sierra Vista Unified School District," said Superintendent Terri Romo. "Seeing Pueblo del Sol and Buena High School advance to A ratings, while Huachuca Mountain continues to maintain its A, is a tremendous accomplishment. These results represent the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our teachers, staff, students, and families. At the same time, we recognize that there is still work to be done. Every one of our students deserves an excellent education, and we remain committed to supporting all of our schools as we continue to grow, improve, and strive for excellence together."
Arizona's school letter grade system evaluates schools using multiple measures of academic performance, including student achievement and academic growth, along with other indicators applicable to each school's grade levels.
District leadership recognizes that letter grades are one measure of school performance and do not tell the complete story of the learning, relationships, opportunities, and accomplishments taking place in classrooms every day.
SVUSD remains focused on strengthening academic achievement, supporting educators, increasing student engagement, and building meaningful partnerships with families and the community.
"We are proud of where we are, encouraged by the progress we are seeing, and motivated by the opportunities ahead," added Romo. "Our commitment is not simply to earn a letter grade, but to ensure that every student who walks through our doors has the support, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed."
Sierra Vista Unified School District extends its congratulations and appreciation to every school community for its continued dedication to student success.
