We are writing to inform you about an activity occurring on the Cochise College campus today that may impact our community. Cochise College Law Enforcement classes are conducting "ambush drills" on their campus today. As a result, students and staff at Buena High School, due to our proximity, may hear simulated gunfire from these drills. Please be assured that there is no threat to Buena High School, our students, or staff. These drills are part of training exercises conducted by Cochise College for their law enforcement program, and they are being conducted with the utmost safety precautions in place. We understand that hearing gunfire, even simulated, can be concerning. However, we want to reassure you that these drills are being conducted in a controlled environment and are essential for preparing future law enforcement professionals. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. 🎉🎶 Buena is thrilled to announce the students who have been accepted to the Southwestern Regional Honor Choir, Band and Orchestra! 🎺🎻 In Arizona, we have eight regions, each Choir comprising 100 talented high school students. Auditions, involving prepared solos and sight-singing, took place at the end of January. 🎤 Selected students have already begun learning and memorizing the performance pieces for the upcoming two-day festival. 🎵 They'll have the honor of working with a renowned clinician from Arizona.
