The 2023-2024 school year is just around the corner and it’s time to get ready for the new school year at Buena High School. Buena will be hosting Colt Days July 17th through 21st from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Colt Days is an opportunity for all students to come to Buena and take care of the following:
Yearbook Photos
ID Cards
Meal documentation (staff on hand Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30-11:00am to help fill out Free & Reduced Meal paperwork)
Chromebook Pick up for Freshmen
Nurses & Health paperwork
Parking Passes
Students and their families can come anytime during Colt Days to take care of all of this information and ask any questions they may have. Student schedules will be available when ready on your ParentVue/StudentVue account.
For our incoming Freshmen students we will be hosting a Freshmen Welcome Day on Monday, July 24th from 9:00am- 11:00am. Freshmen Welcome Day is an opportunity for all incoming Freshmen to explore the school, go on a Buena scavenger hunt, meet other students and speak with Buena administrators. This is a great day for students who have never been to Buena to have the school all to themselves for the day and see what Buena has to offer.
Another upcoming day is our annual Colt Walkabout. Colt Walkabout is Saturday, July 29th from 9:00am- 11:00am and gives all students and families the opportunity to walk around Buena with your schedule and find your class rooms. Staff and student leaders will be there to help find the rooms you are looking for and answer any questions.
On August 16th from 5:00pm- 7:00pm Buena is hosting an Open House. This is a chance for parents and families to join their students as they follow their schedule from class to class. Meet the teachers, learn about the classroom and see what exciting learning is planned for the school year.
