Welcome back for the 26-27 school year! Our first day of school is right around the corner! Please review the information in this newsletter and on our website for information regarding the next few weeks prior to school starting. We will be hosting several opportunities for students to be on campus before the 1st day of school.
Colt Days: Beginning on July 20th, we will begin our Colt Days, Monday- Weds from 9 AM-2 PM, Thursday 11 AM-3 PM. This is an opportunity for students to pick up their student IDs, pay for a parking pass, get school year information, pick up their Chromebooks if they do not have one yet, and get more information for the upcoming school year. If you are unable to attend Colt Days, you can contact us to pick up your student ID or Chromebook prior to school starting.
Yearbook/School Pictures: This year, students will have the opportunity to take their pictures for the school yearbook and school pictures on either the Open House event (August 19th) or the week of September 7th. More information regarding this will be sent out closer to the dates. No pictures will be taken at Colt Days but there will be multiple evening opportunities open for students as well as during the day and at lunches.
New Student Orientation: We will be hosting a new student orientation on July 23rd. This is an opportunity for students to meet other students from BHS, learn what it means to be a Colt, and participate in activities to get to know the school and prepare fo the upcoming school year. Student Schedules: We will be releasing schedules on ParentVue and StudentVue prior to school starting. Counselors do not begin working until July 31st so if you email, please understand that they will not reach back until then.

Colt Walkabout: Please join us on August 1st for Colt Walkabout. Staff will be here from 9-11 AM so students can walk their schedule prior to the first day of school and meet some of their teachers.
First Day of School: The first day of school, August 5th, is an early release date; students will attend all 6 periods and will be dismissed at 12 PM. Your student’s 4th-period class will determine lunch. A bell schedule will be sent prior to school starting.
Open House: Will be held August 19th, 5 PM-7 PM. You will have the opportunity to rotate to all of your students’ classrooms and receive an overview of the curriculum for each class.

Fall Sports must register and complete their Aktivate accounts for the 26/27 school year. ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED AT BUENA HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE 26/27 SCHOOL YEAR.
What You Need to Do:
Step 1: Log in to Aktivate and complete your account: https://www.registermyathlete.com/login/

Step 2: Upload all signed documents to the correct sections in Aktivate.
Step 3: Once your Aktivate account is complete, request a Fall Sports Practice Permit using this link: (Fall Request Link)
Step 4: pick up your practice permit from the Athletic Office.
