πŸ¦‰ Whoooo’s been working hard? Our 5th graders! πŸ¦‰

Ms. Cabrera’s fifth grade class has been hard at work on their novel study, Hoot! Through their learning, students explored ecosystems, the importance of protecting environments, and the needs of burrowing owls.

To show their understanding, they created detailed dioramasβ€”and they did a real hoot of a job! Each project was creative, thoughtful, and clearly showed the effort they put into their work.

We are so proud of their hard work and creativity! πŸ‘

4th grade teachers Mrs. Avery and Mrs. Amaya brought creativity to life with a vibrant Color Party! 🎨✨

Students wrapped up their color poetry unit by sharing their beautiful poems with family and friends. The celebration included proud moments of reading, lots of smiles, and of course… colorful snacks to match! 🌈

We love seeing our students shine and celebrate their hard work in such a fun and meaningful way!

πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ The Case of the Missing Lunchbox! 🍎

This week, student Mia-Mae reported a very serious matter… her lunchbox had gone missing! 😱

Officer Webb was immediately on the case, launching a full investigation. He began by interviewing Mia-Mae and several key witnesses, carefully searching for clues along the way. πŸ”

After some impressive detective work, Officer Webb uncovered the final piece of evidenceβ€”a button from our Village Meadows STEAM Night! With that clue, he was able to track down the missing lunchbox and safely return it to its owner. πŸŽ‰

Case closed! βœ…

Thank you, Officer Webb, for your dedication to keeping our campus safeβ€”and solving even the toughest mysteries! πŸ‘

Village Meadows STEAM Night was absolutely charged up! βš‘πŸ”¬

Students experimented, engineered, and explored their way through a night full of hands-on fun! From sink-or-float investigations and straw rockets soaring high-πŸš€ To magnet art, cup stacking, and tower building challenges. 🧲 Curiosity was in full force!

Our future programmers guided Edison Robots through tricky mazes. While scientists-in-the-making created their very own bouncy balls!

A huge thank you to the Wolf Pack Student Council and VM Cheer for helping everything run smoothly and keeping the energy sky high! 🩡

When our students put their minds together, there’s no limit to what they can build, code, or create!

πŸš€πŸŒ• Blasting Off Into Learning! πŸŒ•πŸš€ Mrs. Avery's fourth graders have been reaching for the stars! ⭐ They began by reading Moon Over Star, a powerful story that takes us back to the historic 1969 Moon landing through the eyes of a family watching history unfold. From there, students became researchers as they investigated and reported on NASA’s upcoming Artemis II mission! To wrap up this out-of-this-world learning, students are now engineering and building their own rockets as a culminating hands-on project. The excitement, creativity, and curiosity have been sky-highβ€”and we may have a few future astronauts and engineers in the making! πŸš€βœ¨

Dear SVUSD Families,

We are excited to invite you to Talk with Terri, a special community listening event with Superintendent Terri Romo.

Thursday, January 29
5:00–6:00 PM
Rothery Education Conference Room

This event is not a presentation or formal meetingβ€”it is a listening tour designed specifically for Superintendent Romo to hear directly from our families. This is an opportunity for parents and guardians to share their questions, concerns, experiences, and ideas as we work together to support students and strengthen our schools.

Superintendent Romo’s priority is to listen, learn, and better understand what matters most to you. Your voice is important, and your feedback will help inform the future of Sierra Vista Unified School District.

Everyone is welcome, and we encourage all families to attend and take part in this open, welcoming conversation about our schools, our community, and our future.

We hope you will join us for this important opportunity to be heard.
