It was an exciting Homecoming Week, with fun spreading across all our campuses! 🎉 Staff joined in for Buena Spirit Days, and Huachuca Mountain's STUCO came out to show their support. Huachuca Mountain also welcomed the GO TEAM Therapy Dogs 🐾 on Wednesday to read with their 2nd graders, while Village Meadows celebrated Club Day, recognizing students for being safe, respectful, and responsible. Bella Vista's Ms. Conde’s first-grade class celebrated the 50th day of school, and had help from Buena's National Honor Society members on Tuesday who assisted in the classroom. 🌟 We visited all schools to personally thank our amazing ESS staff (Exceptional Student Services) for the incredible work they’re doing! 💙 This week, we’re kicking off Red Ribbon Week at JCMS, Carmichael, and Huachuca Mountain with themed spirit days. On Friday, Carmichael will host a special Red Ribbon Tying Celebration 🎀. We’re proud to support the Red Ribbon Campaign, the largest drug-abuse prevention campaign in the U.S. On Thursday, your ESS Department is offering an Evening of Learning and Resources for Activities of Daily Living. If you’re interested, join us on Thursday from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Rothery Education Center. On Friday, Town and Country invites Roadrunner families to their PBIS Fall Carnival from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. 🎃 And Huachuca Mountain Student Council and NEHS invite Bolt families to the Monster Mash Dance from 6 PM to 8 PM. Mae got the first-ever defensive touchdown in school history with an over 70-yard interception return. She also broke up a few passes and tackles. Mae also added another interception helping the flag football team shut out and beat Maricopa 21-0. Andres rushed for 144 yards on 7 carries and had 2 touchdowns in our 70-0 homecoming win!

Jayden Thomas made a significant contribution to the team's 56-0 victory at Pueblo on Friday night. He returned a punt for a touchdown of more than fifty yards and scored two receiving touchdowns totaling 110 yards.' Caroline always sets a good example for the JVA team with her energy and diligence, but many people noticed last week how much discipline she allowed herself to have in order to improve herself and her teammates.

Deztany- In the first flag football game in the Buenas school's history, Deztany scored three touchdowns to seal the victory. Later, Deztany added a rushing touchdown on a punt return after scoring the first-ever touchdown on a kickoff return. Deztany was equally as effective when it came to playing defense. She was blocking passes when she was moved to the rushing quarterback, whereupon she repeatedly sacked the player, enabling Buena to secure the team's historic victory. Christian- With a low round of 40, Christian guided the golf team to win against Desert View last Tuesday. Additionally, he scored 66 points this past weekend in the Flowing Wells tournament, Christian used the Stableford scoring method, to lead the team in points. He led the team to eighth place out of sixteen teams, finishing 11th out of 91 golfers.

Bands from Buena, JCMS, Palominas, and Ft. Huachuca put on an incredible performance! 🎶🏈 As for this week, here’s what’s in store: 📚 PDS is hosting a book fair, spirit week, and their Title I Night on Wednesday evening from 4 PM to 5 PM, with the book fair open for parents. 🌍 Town & Country is having their "Read Around the World" Title I Night on Wednesday evening from 4 PM to 5 PM. ➗ Bella Vista is inviting families to their Math Night on Thursday—where math becomes even more fun! 🏅 Village Meadows will honor their Students of the Month and PBIS champions on Friday. 🎭 Don’t miss out on Heist Quest, a production by the Buena Theatre Arts, with opening night on Friday at 7 PM and a second show on Saturday at 7 PM.
