Last week, Buena High School's Fine Arts program proudly presented the Senior Capstone Showcase, featuring eleven incredibly talented students who wowed the audience with their remarkable performances! ππΆ
These extraordinary Bolts showcased their skills as they worked towards achieving the prestigious State Seal of Arts Proficiency. π The State Seal of Arts Proficiency is a distinguished honor awarded to graduates who complete a rigorous program pathway in the Fine Arts, actively engage in community service or extracurricular Fine Arts activities, and present an outstanding Capstone project.

Part of the SLAC team attended their annual leadership conference today


State testing at Buena will take place on April 2nd and 4th. You should have received an email regarding testing. All 9th and 11th grade students are required to test. 10th and 12th grade students will be responsible for online Google meetings to complete course requests and state required ECAP plans. Attendance will be taken in online meetings and absences will count towards students' attendance. If students miss testing, they will be responsible for makeup testing. All 9th and 11th grade students must attend testing days! Please contact 515-2807 for any questions. Students who attend testing and online events will be able to enter all athletic events this week free of charge as well as earn PBIS points for being responsible.

Jimmy Rice is this weeks male athlete of the week! Jimmy is the number one tennis player in both singles and doubles and he has proven his skill in the recent matches. According to Jimmyβs coach, βHe gives 110% every practice and is always looking to improve.β He has shown his great teamwork and leadership skills as a Co-Captain on his team. Congratulations Jimmy! Keep up the great work!!
This week's Athlete of the Week is freshman, Hailey Larson! Hailey was selected because of her performance during her game against Mountain View. During this game, she batted .750, going 3/4 at the plate. The freshman racked up a single, a double, and a triple. Additionally, she had 2 RBIs and scored a run. Hailey's hard-work and dedication to the softball program doesn't go unnoticed. We can't wait to see what else Hailey will accomplish during her freshman season. Good luck!
