All district and school offices will be closed on Monday, September 4th in honor of Labor Day. Please have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
This Friday, September 1st is a half day at all SVUSD schools. Please note that all students will be released by the half day schedule. Buena High School at 10:30 am, all elementary schools at 11:15 am, and Joyce Clark Middle School at 12:30 pm. Have a wonderful weekend!

This morning all Buena students were excited for the first “Storming of the Halls” in preparation for tonight's first football home game. Game is tonight at 7 pm vs Fairfax at Loveless Stadium. Bring your glow sticks, it is Glow Out Night! Go Colts!!
This afternoon Buena staff had to call 911 for a student experiencing a medical emergency. An ambulance is at the high school. The student’s parents have been notified. There was no threat or danger to Buena High. Thank you to our nursing staff, Buena administration and EMS for their care and quick response.

Buena Open House will be held tonight, August 16th 5PM-7PM. Buena students and their families have the opportunity to rotate to all of their student’s classrooms and receive an overview of the curriculum for each class. Families will follow their student’s schedule and travel to each class. If you do not have a copy of your student’s schedule, please come to the cafeteria so we can help you locate this information. Please see the bell schedule attached, 1st hour will not begin until 5:15 to allow time for additional activities such as visiting the tables in the cafeteria, listening to a performance by Rythmix, and for students with a 0 hour to attend their class. Rembrandt will also be on campus during this time to take makeup school and yearbook photos for anyone who did not attend Colts Days. This includes seniors who have not had their senior pictures taken. These are the photos we will use for the yearbook.
