Madison Forsberg: Madison is an amazing student athlete who always works hard and doesn't hesitate to put her team first. Her positive attitude keeps her teammates around her focused and hard working. She scored 2 goals against Desert View which contributed to their 6-0 win. She controlled the midfield well and created opportunities for her teammates all night. Sean Brown: Sean is a 3 year Varsity wrestler and has the title of one of the Captains on the team. His dedication to the team helps him push himself and the teammates around him. During sectionals, he dominated the 144 weight class and even took first place. Due to his amazing performance, he helped his team earn 2nd place overall for sectionals.

Dear Buena Families, We want to address an incident that occurred at tonight’s basketball game. During the event, some fans from the opposing team had an altercation with police, which required additional law enforcement intervention. Two individuals were detained, but we want to emphasize that no Buena students or families were involved in any way. We greatly appreciate our students and fans for representing Buena with respect and for following the directions of administration and law enforcement during the situation. Your cooperation helped ensure that the game remained a safe environment for everyone. We also want to extend our gratitude to the Sierra Vista Police Department for their quick response and for working to keep our school events safe. As always, we encourage good sportsmanship and respectful conduct at all athletic events. It’s playoff and senior night day! Come cheer on your colts! Playoff soccer starts at 5 and senior night basketball starts at 7!

Rodric Falcon has been playing through a hip injury all season, but he continues to be the best defender on the field. His sacrifice and hard work kept them in games all season. Kelty is a freshman who placed 2nd this past weekend at the Divisional’s securing a spot in the upcoming state tournament . She spent 8 minutes and 44 seconds on the mat total for 4 matches. She went 3-1 for the tournament. And has currently won more than 30 matches
