What is Financial Aid?
The four types of financial aid are:
Grants
Scholarships
Loans
Work-Study programs
Grants and scholarships are gift aid and do not need to be repaid. Loans must be repaid. Work-Study programs are part-time jobs.

Steps to Apply for Financial Aid
Financial Aid Tips
Apply for everything you are eligible for.
Meet deadlines.
Follow application directions.
Type your application, if possible.
Proofread.
Remember: Neatness counts.
Develop a resume.
Ask for teacher recommendations at least one month before needed.
Don't pay to apply for scholarships.
Make copies before mailing.
Ask for help; don’t give up!
