👩‍🏫🍎 Last week was a momentous occasion as we celebrated our Teachers of the Year at SVUSD! 🌟 We're immensely grateful for the dedication and passion that each and every one of our educators brings to our district. 🎉 At the board meeting, we had the honor of recognizing outstanding teachers from each school. 🍕🍰🎉 Last week, our top PBIS point-earning students and Bella Vista had an incredible experience participating in the Roving Chef program, presented by our partner SFE, who serves our students delicious meals every day! These lucky students learned to craft their own personal pizzas, whipped up a "MOUSE Great" dessert, and even treated our staff to some tasty slices. Plus, they got to meet DJ Cheetah, a champion for health, nutrition, and rocking physical activity! If you prefer your child not to join us at the Cove, please fill out and return this form. 🔵 Blue Paper: This is the permission slip for students to participate in the trip. If you're excited for your child to be a part of this adventure, please fill out and return this form granting permission. 💛 Yellow Paper: Kindly complete this form to provide us with your child's lunch choice in advance. We need to know if you will be packing lunch for your student or if our amazing SFE kitchen staff needs to provide a sack lunch for the day. Each student was presented with this invaluable tool, sparking excitement and curiosity in the classroom. During their exploration, our students stumbled upon fascinating facts, one being the presence of Braille on every classroom door alongside metric measurements and word definitions. It's amazing what knowledge can be uncovered with a simple flip of the pages! 🌊📚 Bella Vista and Huachuca Mountain Elementary 4th grade participate in a new Sierra Vista adventure! 📚🌊 We're thrilled to announce that our fourth graders had the incredible opportunity to be part of the inaugural Sierra Vista Water Festival! 💧 This festival is a collaborative effort between municipalities, school districts, corporate sponsors, and Arizona Project Wet (UA's Water Education for Teachers and Students). Prior to the event, participating teachers engaged in professional development and lessons with their classes, preparing them for an immersive experience. On the big day, all students delved into four stations featuring hands-on activities covering the water cycle, water conservation technology, watershed, and groundwater. This year's event wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of 16 volunteers, all employees of Liberty Utilities and the Arizona Water Company. A huge shout out to these volunteers for making this day truly special for our students! Special thanks also go to Mrs. Kosminder from the Water Wise program for her invaluable contributions.
