🔬✨Tuesday was a day brimming with scientific exploration at SVUSD! 🌟 The morning kicked off with an exhilarating live stream to NASA for Carmichael students. 🚀 Selected Bears had the incredible opportunity to engage with Arizona native Chris Birch via Zoom, asking burning questions and delving into the wonders of space. 🌌 Meanwhile, over at Huachuca Mountain, second-grade classes embarked on an adventure to the UofA South observatory, diving deep into the mysteries of the stars and planets. 🌟 But the learning didn't stop there! They also explored the enchanting Discovery Garden, discovering the secrets of plant life and ecosystems. 🌱 Simultaneously, the Dust Devils at PDS were immersed in an exciting visit from the AZ Science Center. 💡 From coding to slime-making, combustion experiments to becoming junior detectives, they embraced hands-on learning with enthusiasm and curiosity. 🧪🔍 What an extraordinary day of scientific discovery for our students! 🎉 #SVUSDScienceDay #HandsOnLearning #ExploringTheUnknown

🍕🍰🎉 Last week, our top PBIS point-earning students and Bella Vista had an incredible experience participating in the Roving Chef program, presented by our partner SFE, who serves our students delicious meals every day! These lucky students learned to craft their own personal pizzas, whipped up a "MOUSE Great" dessert, and even treated our staff to some tasty slices. Plus, they got to meet DJ Cheetah, a champion for health, nutrition, and rocking physical activity! If you prefer your child not to join us at the Cove, please fill out and return this form. 🔵 Blue Paper: This is the permission slip for students to participate in the trip. If you're excited for your child to be a part of this adventure, please fill out and return this form granting permission. 💛 Yellow Paper: Kindly complete this form to provide us with your child's lunch choice in advance. We need to know if you will be packing lunch for your student or if our amazing SFE kitchen staff needs to provide a sack lunch for the day. Each student was presented with this invaluable tool, sparking excitement and curiosity in the classroom. During their exploration, our students stumbled upon fascinating facts, one being the presence of Braille on every classroom door alongside metric measurements and word definitions. It's amazing what knowledge can be uncovered with a simple flip of the pages!
