Welcome to Bella Vista
Dear Bella Vista Families,
I am thrilled to start my second year as principal of Bella Vista Elementary School. I look forward to working with each of you to ensure our students have a successful and rewarding school year.
A little about me: I was born in Spring Valley, Illinois, a small town where my extended family was born and raised. I was the first person in my family to attend college, and I graduated with a four-year degree. I moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona, in March of 1998, and since then, I have built a diverse career in education.
My journey began as a high school English teacher, a role I held for seven years before moving on to teach middle school English for six years. I then worked as an instructional coach between Buena High School and Joyce Clark Middle School for one year. Afterward, I became the Assistant Principal at Joyce Clark Middle School for three years and later served as the Principal of Town and Country Elementary School for seven years. Most recently, I was an instructional coach at Buena High School, and now, I am excited to be a part the Bella Vista family.
On a personal note, my favorite color is purple, and I am an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Currently, I am renovating a pop-up camper, affectionately named "Heaven" (short for "My Slice of Heaven"), and I am eager to take her on her maiden voyage.
As the principal of Bella Vista, my primary focus is to build strong relationships with our educators, families, and students to ensure the academic success of all of our students. My purpose is to motivate, inspire, support, and serve our community with my passion for learning, knowledge, and experience because our students deserve the best.
