Swim Senior NightβΌοΈ

Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat-The International Thespian Society of Buena High School will once again take part in a nationwide community service initiative to collect food for the hungry. The drive is based in Buenaβs top-notch Fine Arts and JROTC programs but everyone is encouraged to join us in giving back to our community. Last year, we were unable to reach our goal, but this year with the help of the JROTC program and you, we hope to be able to bring in 3,000 pounds of food to the Forgash house for women and children. Please bring nonperishables to Fine Arts and JROTC classes. The drive will run through Halloween and kick off on the 19th of October with our performance of Scared Silly. Admission to this event will be a non-perishable food item.

The Food Drive has started and we are collecting items through November 1st. The 3rd hour class that collects the most items will win a prize provided by Edward Jones. Thank you for your support.

Lindsay Geisel had an exceptional performance in the Lions Den Tournament. She represented Buena and won a spot on the all tournament team. She showed great leadership when the team needed a leader and she was encouraging and uplifting.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying can impact a studentβs education, physical, emotional health, and their safety and well-being. Together we can create communities that are kinder, more inclusive and accepting for all students. In support of National Bully Prevention Month we are encouraging all SVUSD students and staff to wear orange on October 18th to show unity against bullying.
