Today, Wednesday the 2nd, is an early release day at all SVUSD schools. Buena families, please remember school ends at 12:00 pm today. Thank you for your support and welcome back!
Who is ready to start school?!?!?! All SVUSD schools have their first day on Wednesday, August 2nd. We are excited to have everyone back after the summer break. Just a few reminders, buses will be out in the community so please be cautious when driving. There are a lot of first day jitters so routes may take a little longer than normal. Drivers, be on the lookout for all school zones and remember to slow down. Be sure to load your MySchoolBucks account so your students can buy meals if they need. Wednesday is an early release day. Elementary ends at 12:45pm, JCMS ends at 2:15pm and Buena ends at noon. We cannot wait to see everyone on Wednesday!
On Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 all SVUSD schools and district offices will be closed due to training and kick off the new school year. Please be advised that all SVUSD employees will be unavailable and we encourage you to visit us on Friday, July 28th, or Monday, July 31 with all school related business.
We will reopen for normal business hours on Wednesday, August 2nd. Sorry for the disruption this may cause.
Join us tomorrow, July 29th, at Buena High School from 9 am to 11 am for Colt Walkabout! Colt Walkabout gives students and families a chance to come to BHS and find your classrooms. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and help you find your way. Stop by anytime from 9 am - 11 am. We hope to see all of you there!!
Colt Walkabout is this Saturday, July 29th from 9:00 am- 11:00 am and gives all students and families the opportunity to walk around Buena with their schedule and find their classrooms. Staff and student leaders will be there to help and answer any questions. Stop by anytime to check out Buena!

Attention incoming Freshmen!!!!! Buena is hosting a Freshmen Welcome Day on Monday, July 24th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Freshmen Welcome Day is an opportunity for all our incoming Freshmen to explore the school, go on a Buena scavenger hunt, meet other students and speak with our Buena administrators. This is a great day for students who have never been to Buena to have the school all to themselves for the morning and see what Buena has to offer.

Yearbook pictures are taken this week, July 17th-21st, at Buena. Rembrandt Photography is on-site with a special offer daily from 8 am to 2 pm. Get your Id card and parking pass at the same time!
Construction at Buena High School's east student parking lot will continue this week and is closed to all traffic and parking. Students and parent parking for Colt Days will need to use the south teacher lot (by the theatre) and all traffic will need to use Giulio Cesare Ave to Buena School Boulevard access the school, Fighting Colt Drive will be closed. Thank you for your understanding as we make improvements to our campus.
Buena is hosting Colt Days this week, July 17th through 21st. Students can get their ID cards, yearbook photos taken, nurse documents, and parking passes. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 9:30 am and 11 am, there is also the opportunity to pick up lunch documents and have questions answered by SFE, our food service provider.
Buena will be hosting Colt Days July 17th through 21st from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Colt Days is an opportunity for all students to come to Buena and get their ID cards, lunch documents, parking passes, nurse documents, and Yearbook photos taken. Freshmen also have the opportunity to pick up their Chromebooks.

Buena High School's east student parking lot will be under paving construction the week of July 10-16 and closed to all traffic and parking. Students parking for the Summer Academy will need to use the south teacher lot (by the theatre) and all traffic will need to use Giulio Cesare Ave to access the school, Fighting Colt Drive will be closed.
For students riding buses, they will be dropped off and pick up in the staff lot located off of the cafeteria.
