Graduation Contract

Participating in the ceremony is a privilege. Those graduates wishing to take part in the ceremony are required to complete the Graduation Contract. This contract must be completed by May 3rd: https://forms.gle/MsasF22KxBBzFyz18

Senior Shout-Outs

This is a wonderful opportunity to share a heartfelt message, words of encouragement, or a congratulatory note for your graduating senior. Whether it's a message of pride, love, or a memorable quote, your shout-out will be a cherished part of the graduation experience for both you and your senior.

To order your Senior Scoreboard Shout-Out, please follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Complete the order form by visiting https://forms.gle/YyY5QrMkxPXoXaXV6.

Step 2: Log on to your MySchoolBucks account and pay for your Senior Shout-Out.

Step 3: Email your favorite photo of your senior to Valerie.weller@svps.k12.az.us. If you do not have or wish to share a photo, we will use their senior picture from the yearbook.

Please note that the deadline to place your order is May 10th, so be sure to reserve your spot early to ensure inclusion in the graduation ceremony. All proceeds from the shout-outs will support the Student Athletic Leadership Team, allowing us to continue fostering leadership skills and promoting sportsmanship among our students.

Preparing for Graduation

To be ready for graduation here are some tips

  • Plan to avoid being overwhelmed.

  • Stay on top of your grades this year. DON’T LET SENIORITIS IN

  • Pay close attention to deadlines.

  • Order all necessary items by December (cap and gown ) Rembrandt Grad

  • Research the schools/jobs/next steps you are interested in.

  • Not sure where to start- see a Cochise College Navigator in student services or see Mr. Gordon or Mrs. Caputo in the CTE office for assistance

  • Think about financial aid, FAFSA applications open on December 31st.

  • Register online for college testing: ACT SAT

  • Some Colleges require letters of recommendation: These require 2 weeks' notice to the counselor or teacher. Please provide your counselor or administrator with a resume to help with writing.

  • Need an official transcript for college: Send a request to BHS.Transcripts@svps.k12.az.us and they will send the transcript to college(s) of your choice. Transcript for 7th semester, will be available mid-January. Final transcripts for seniors will be available in early June.

Graduation Practice

Mandatory Graduation Practice Wednesday, May 22nd: 

  • Wednesday May 22nd , seniors must be in the Klein Center by 4:00PM, students should park in the student parking lot and enter using the main school entrance, not the student entrance. 

    • This is a mandatory dress rehearsal (complete with cap and gown) for all graduates wishing to walk on the 23rd. 

    • We suggest leaving your tassel at home. 

    • We should be on the field by 5:00PM. Parents are welcome to attend the field portion of this practice for photo opportunities. We will pass out Graduate packets at rehearsal  which will include parking passes, inclement weather tickets, and diplomas as well as other information. Graduate packets will only be given to those who have turned in signed contracts. These packets are extremely important as only those individuals with parking passes will be permitted to park at Buena High School for the graduation ceremony.

Graduation Information

GRADUATION: Thursday May 23rd at 7:00PM, Gates will open at 6PM

  • Graduates must report to the Klein Center at 5:00PM for lineup. Graduate parking will be on the west side of the campus, please follow the directions on your parking pass. Students will enter through the 1300 hallway exterior doors.

  • Reminder to seniors, no purses or backpacks are allowed in the Klein Center or stadium during graduation. Please leave all personal items in your car or with guests. You will not be allowed back into the Klein Center after graduation so please do not leave any items.

  • Programs are printed with legal names, each student will receive one with their passes. 

  • Graduation will take place on Loveless Field, with gates opening at 6PM. Guests will only be able to enter using the east and west gates. The main gate to the field is for graduates only.

  • Buena Band Boosters will operating the concession stand during the ceremony

  • Students will receive 1 guest parking pass for parking at Buena High School. Please follow the directions on the pass for access to the school. These packets are extremely important as only those individuals with parking passes will be permitted to park at Buena High School for the graduation ceremony.

  • Additional parking will be provided with shuttles running approximately every 15-20 mins. More information about the shuttle will be posted closer to our graduation date.

In order to promote the dignity and decorum of the ceremony the Buena Administration and the Senior class want you to know the following:

  • Only clear bags will be allowed in the stadium, bags will be checked at the gates

  • All guests should remain seated during the ceremony

  • All guests should remain in the stands until the ceremony is concluded

  • Please do not bring noise makers, any discovered at the gates will be confiscated. Any use during the ceremony will result in the user being removed from the facility.

  • Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets if they choose to sit on the lower levels of the seating areas. 

  • School district policies and state laws that prohibit the possession or use of firearms, tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping devices, alcohol, and illegal substances will be enforced.

  • The main entrance to the stadium will be closed to the public. This entrance will be used only for the graduates. Guests will use the two side entrance gates. 

  • Handicapped Parking will be available on the west side of the student parking lot for vehicles with a guest parking pass and state issued handicapped placard or plates. There will be golf carts available for those on the shuttle who need assistance walking from the shuttle to the venue.
