Buena Bands

The Buena Band Club brings together students who share a passion for music, performance, and teamwork. Whether you play an instrument or are learning one, this club is your opportunity to improve your skills, perform with others, and celebrate the joy of music.

As a member, you’ll:

In the Buena Film/TV Program, we strive to:

  • Develop students of high moral character.

  • Develop a strong work ethic.

  • Prepare students for audio/video production occupations.

  • Prepare students to excel in college.

  • Provide practical knowledge and skill for all areas of life.

All Film/TV students are encouraged to join our SkillsUSA Career & Technical Student Organization. This is where students get to participate in:

  • Competitions

  • Recording school events

  • Community service

  • Special projects (like PSAs)

Like any CTSO, students learn leadership and employability skills which help them to succeed both on the job and in life.

Buena Fine Arts Productions

Buena Fine Arts Productions is an extracurricular component of the Theatre Arts program at Buena High School. BFAP focuses on the performing arts and is dedicated to creating opportunities for students to participate in live productions. The organization attracts students interested in the performing arts, including those involved in band, choir, and theatre. However, all productions are open to any interested member of the student body.

Students take on various roles in productions, fostering a strong sense of ownership and pride in their work and the program. Buena Fine Arts Productions stages at least five shows each year, with all funding generated solely through ticket sales and student contributions.

Interact Club

Interact Club — Young Leaders Serving the World

The Interact Club, part of Rotary International, unites young people ages 12–18 to lead with heart, serve their community, and build bridges around the world. With hundreds of thousands of members in more than 140 countries, Interact stands for “International Action.”

International Thespian Society

Sponsored by the Educational Theatre Association, the International Thespian Society has been honoring the excellent work of theatre students since 1929 and Buena’s Troupe #2903  began active membership in 1978.  The International Thespian Society is an Honor Society that recognizes excellence among students of the theatre and promotes the arts as a tool for life long learning.  Troupe #2903 is a student led organization and members strive to spread their love of theatre and work to promote theatre & the arts in the community.

All Thespian meetings and events are open, so anyone is welcome to attend and see what we do. We accept applications every fall and spring.

Refined Bible Club

Refined Bible Club — Growing in Faith, Living with Purpose

The Refined Bible Club is a welcoming space for students to explore faith, build friendships, and grow in their walk with Christ. Together, we study Scripture, encourage one another, and seek to live out God’s Word in our daily lives.

Robotics (NERDS)

The Nifty Engineering Robotics Design Squad (NERDS) club takes learning out of the classroom and into the real world!

We do not just build robots; we compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. This means that we travel! We have competed regionally in such places as Houston, Texas; New York City; and San Francisco, California.
