School Perception Survey

This past October, Sierra Vista Unified School District completed our annual perception surveys for both parents and staff. For the third year in a row, we partnered with School Perceptions to administer these surveys so we can continue gathering high-quality, objective data about how we are doing as a district.

We are excited to share that this yearโ€™s results showed solid, meaningful growth across many areas, with several indexes and individual indicators increasing by multiple percentage points. Your participation helps us understand what is working well and where we can continue to improve to ensure all students and families feel supported, informed, and connected.

Highlights From the Parent Survey

A few standout improvements from the Parent Survey include:

  • Informed Index: Increased to 3.88 (+2.9%)

  • Included Index: Increased to 3.83 (+4.1%)

  • Atmosphere Index: Increased to 3.93 (+3.4%)

  • Overall Satisfaction: Rose from 6.78 to 7.04 (+3.8%)

Additionally, the most improved areas included:

  • โ€œMy child gets help when they need itโ€ (+6.4%)

  • โ€œI am satisfied with our schoolโ€™s efforts to address bullyingโ€ (+6.1%)

  • โ€œI am updated on how my child is doing at schoolโ€ (+5.9%)

Highlights From the Staff Survey

A few standout improvements from the Staff Survey include:

  • Academics Index: Increased to 3.60 (+4.7%)

  • Student Experience Index: Increased to 4.05 (+4.1%)

  • Staff Experience Index: Increased to 3.80 (+3.5%)

  • Overall Satisfaction: Rose from 5.66 to 5.82 (+2.8%)

Additionally, the most improved areas included:

  • โ€œOur school's student discipline practices and policies are effectiveโ€ (+12.5%)

  • โ€œDistrict administration is doing what it takes to make our district successful.โ€ (+10.0%)

  • โ€œThe District seeks input from a broad group of staff members.โ€ (+9.8%)

These results reflect the hard work of our staff and the strong partnership we maintain with our families.
