Volunteers are an integral part of our schools. Whether participating in the school, classroom, playground, athletics, or on a field trip, volunteers enrich the educational experience for all SVUSD students.
In order to better serve our students we have made changes to the process of becoming a volunteer. This new process will bring consistency and accountability to the volunteer program. Depending on the type of volunteer work that is being done applicants will undergo background checks and IVP fingerprint cards. All volunteers will be issued district volunteer ID badges, which allows school staff members to easily identify volunteers on campus and off.
