We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Ms. Pizzuto, our Assistant Principal. Her last day was February 29. Ms. Pizzuto has been a valued member of the JCMS team, and we appreciate her dedication and service to our students, staff, and families. JCMS will complete the 2025–26 school year under the leadership of Principal Paz and Dean Hardgrave. We remain committed to supporting our school community and ensuring continuity in operations and student services. We wish Ms. Pizzuto the very best in her future endeavors.

Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 🌈 He taught us to be kind, fair, and to stand up for what is right. Let’s remember his dream by using our words to help, our actions to care, and our hearts to include everyone. 💙 We hope everyone enjoys their day off, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back at school tomorrow! 😊

SVUSD took a select group of educators to Oklahoma City for a three-day leadership experience. During this time, our team collaborated with professionals from across the country to explore best practices and effective methods for improving our schools. We drafted action plans, shared ideas, discussed common challenges, and identified potential solutions to bring back to our sites. We are excited to put this work into action and look forward to seeing these efforts come to fruition for our students, staff, and community.

We are celebrating the hard work of our teachers and staff who have helped our students achieve strong academic growth in Math, ELA, and Science. We are incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made together and excited to continue this upward trend! To show our appreciation, don’t forget to stop by the Teachers’ Lounge to celebrate your 💜SWEET SUCCESS 💜. We have donuts, muffins, tea, coffee, and all kinds of syrups to satisfy your sweet tooth. Huge shout-out to our Student Council for all their fundraising efforts. JCMS has a mascot! 🎉 Pablo the Coyote surprised students all over campus today, and the excitement was unreal. What a fun day… the Coyote way!

All district and school offices will be closed for Winter Break as we take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the season.

Shout out to Ms. Hays and her awesome Student Council members! They came out and provided festive ❤️💚 face painting for the student body. We even had surprise visits from the Gingerbread Man, the Grinch, and a Christmas Tree! 🎄✨ Student Council also sold and delivered Grinch Grams, spreading smiles all over campus. They do an amazing job promoting school spirit, and we are so grateful for their energy and creativity! 💜

The admin team pulled together to gift a small token of appreciation to every employee. We are a big school with many moving parts, and the only way we accomplish all that we do is by relying on one another. We are truly grateful for every member of our Coyote family! 🐺💜

We ended our first semester by breaking bread together. We are incredibly grateful to our PTSO for providing a wonderful variety of delicious soups, salads, and desserts. They make us feel appreciated all year long. The meal and camaraderie were the perfect way to close out a successful first half of the year. We wish our families happy holidays. May you rest, recharge, and spend meaningful time with your loved ones. See you in 2026! 🎉
