🌟 Huachuca Mountain Leadership Day 🌟 Friday was Leadership Day at Huachuca Mountain, and it was truly inspiring to see students from Pueblo Del Sol, Town and Country, Huachuca Mountain, Joyce Clark Middle School, and Buena High School come together for an afternoon filled with teamwork and positive peer relations! Led by Principal Perez and Elson, along with Mrs. Galbraith and Mrs. Neitring, our student council members embarked on four different activities aimed at building strong bonds and leadership skills. From problem-solving challenges to collaborative projects, every moment was filled with growth and camaraderie. After an afternoon of hard work, everyone gathered for a delicious dinner together, followed by an exciting kickball game to end the evening on a high note. We wanted to inform you of a recent wildlife sighting in the PDS neighborhood. Animal Control has been actively monitoring a bear in the area and unfortunately, they have lost sight of it. While the bear was not seen on campus or near campus when Animal Control lost track of it, we believe it's essential to exercise caution during this time. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided not to hold outdoor activities today. The safety and well-being of our students are our utmost priority. If you prefer to pick up your student instead of having them ride the bus or walk home today, please feel free to contact the office at 520-515-2970. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we believe it's necessary to prioritize safety in situations like these. Rest assured, we are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you updated with any further developments. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

πŸ”¬βœ¨Tuesday was a day brimming with scientific exploration at SVUSD! 🌟 The morning kicked off with an exhilarating live stream to NASA for Carmichael students. πŸš€ Selected Bears had the incredible opportunity to engage with Arizona native Chris Birch via Zoom, asking burning questions and delving into the wonders of space. 🌌 Meanwhile, over at Huachuca Mountain, second-grade classes embarked on an adventure to the UofA South observatory, diving deep into the mysteries of the stars and planets. 🌟 But the learning didn't stop there! They also explored the enchanting Discovery Garden, discovering the secrets of plant life and ecosystems. 🌱 Simultaneously, the Dust Devils at PDS were immersed in an exciting visit from the AZ Science Center. πŸ’‘ From coding to slime-making, combustion experiments to becoming junior detectives, they embraced hands-on learning with enthusiasm and curiosity. πŸ§ͺπŸ” What an extraordinary day of scientific discovery for our students! πŸŽ‰ #SVUSDScienceDay #HandsOnLearning #ExploringTheUnknown
