🐾 Pueblo Del Sol Gives Back!
The Pueblo Del Sol Student Council recently organized a Pet Supply Drive to support the amazing work of the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center. Thanks to the generosity of our students and families, a wide variety of much-needed items were donated — making the drive a huge success!
As a fun incentive, the class that brought in the most supplies earned a well-deserved popcorn and movie day 🎬🍿
Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make a difference for animals in our community!

For Arizona’s birthday celebration, our PDS kindergarten students became junior researchers as they explored the amazing animals that call our state home. Each student selected an Arizona animal to research. Some chose the desert-dwelling Gila monster, learning that it is one of the only venomous lizards in the world. Others were fascinated by the clever Coyote, known for its howls and adaptability. Others chose the venomous Rattlesnake and the not so sweet smelling Javelina’s.
Using books, pictures, and teacher-guided research, students learned about each animal’s habitat, diet, and special characteristics. To celebrate Arizona’s birthday, students presented their research with beautiful Arizona sunset pictures that were created with watercolors and their own unique desert background. Our kindergarten researchers showed that even the youngest learners can explore, discover, and celebrate the wonders of Arizona! 🌵

Please make note of the upcoming school closure for next week.
We hope our students and families enjoy the long weekend! School will resume on Tuesday, 02/17/2026.
Thank you and have a safe, restful holiday!❤️🤍💙
