🍨 6th Grade – Explore! 🍨
This week our 6th graders put their engineering skills to the coolest test… by making their own ICE CREAM! ❄️👩🔬👨🔬
Students experimented with different base ingredients, measured carefully, and followed the science behind how liquid turns into a delicious frozen treat. 🍦✨
Hands-on learning + sweet rewards = the perfect Explore day!
Way to go, Roadrunners! 🚀💙 #STEMtastic #BrainFreezeLab #TCExplore #RoadrunnerPride

Our 4th graders became land developers this week — but with a BIG responsibility! Students worked in groups to design their very own plot of land and then brainstorm ways to keep pollution from entering our waterways. 💡🏞️
Through hands-on collaboration, creative problem-solving, and a splash of environmental science, they learned just how important it is to protect our watersheds and keep our rivers clean. 🚰♻️
We’re so proud of their thoughtful designs and teamwork! 💙

Our 3rd grade Roadrunners became young scientists as they explored how plants drink water using a hands-on carnation color-changing experiment!
Students made predictions, observed the stems, and watched their white carnations slowly begin to transform as they absorbed the colored water. 👀💧
This fun investigation helped students understand:
🔹 How plants take in water through their stems
🔹 How absorption and capillary action work
🔹 How scientists record predictions and observations
🔹 The power of watching science happen in real time!
We love seeing our Roadrunners engaged, curious, and excited about learning.
