First grade students at Town and Country Elementary recently engaged in a habitats project. In small groups, the students were asked to design a habitat for some new animals coming to their zoo. The groups chose an animal and did research to discover the individual needs of their animal. They then planned, designed and built their habitats, culminating in a public presentation with parents, teachers and friends in attendance.

πŸ§ƒ Truth Juice in Action! πŸ§ƒ

Today, our students leaned into an important Social-Emotional Learning lesson during β€œTruth Juice” with Mrs. Bangle! Through the story Louie Leans About Truth Juice, students explored honesty, accountability, and the impact our choices have on others.

Using a simple but powerful visual with jars labeled β€œTruth Juice,” students saw firsthand how telling the truth builds trust β€” while dishonesty can cloud relationships. The discussion that followed was thoughtful, honest, and reflective. πŸ’¬

Moments like these help us build more than academic skills β€” they build character. We are proud of our students for engaging in meaningful conversations about integrity, responsibility, and doing the right thing even when it’s hard. ❀️

At Town & Country, we believe strong hearts build strong learners.
