Student Transportation of America

As we begin the 2022-2023 school year, Student Transportation of America (STA) would like to take the time to introduce ourselves. We are excited to be the Sierra Vista Unified School District’s new transportation partner and look forward to a successful school year with your children.

STA is one of North America’s safest independent providers of school bus transportation services. With an industry-leading safety rating and the youngest fleet in the business, we operate more than 16,000 vehicles and proudly serve more than 325 school districts. Our services are delivered by dedicated drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, managers, technology professionals and others who are committed to STA’s longstanding culture of safety and the well-being of the students who depend on us each day.

As the school year moves into full swing, we want to share few important transportation details as we move forward:

  • At the end of the school day, students must be at the bus prior to its scheduled leave time. It is the student’s responsibility to be seated and ready for transportation. To keep our buses running on time and to avoid impacting other routes, STA cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate a return to school in order to pick up a student who missed his or her bus. Therefore, it is imperative for students understand the importance of boarding their bus in a timely manner after school ends for the day.
  • For Kindergarten students, a hand-to-hand delivery is required for afternoon drop-offs unless a waiver has been signed and received by the school and forwarded to transportation.
  • While we will do everything in our power to avoid this situation, should a student miss their afternoon route drop-off or in the situation where a parent is not present, we will return the student to the school for resolution.

STA is excited for our new partnership with the Sierra Vista Unified School District and look forward to a safe and successful 2022-2023 school year. Should you have any questions, we encourage you to reach out. Key contact information can be found below.
