🏃‍♂️🏅 Our elementary students from Bella Vista, Huachuca Mountain, Town and Country, Pueblo Del Sol, and Village Meadows came together at Buena High School for their first annual Track Meet—and it was a total blast! 💥 Six events filled the day with energy and excitement: • 100 Meter Dash • 400 Meter Dash • Mile Run (4 laps) • 4 x 100 Meter Relay • Long Jump • Softball Throw 👟 Each school sent 30 student-athletes—5 boys and 5 girls from grades 4–6—who competed in 1 or 2 events each. 🏅 Ribbons were awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each event! 🙌 A huge thank you to the PE teachers from the five elementary schools for organizing this incredible event, and to the Buena cross country and track athletes for helping run it smoothly! It was an amazing day of sportsmanship, school spirit, and fun. All of our elementary schools opened their doors for an afternoon of fun for the whole family—complete with scavenger hunts, meet the teacher, table games, a school bus experience, photo booth fun, campus tours, and more! 🚌📸🎲 We were so excited to meet our future students and their families! The auction is an important fundraiser for our PTO in that it helps provide necessary funds for our school and teacher requests. 🎶 The Beat Goes On at SVUSD! 🎶 Thanks to the leadership of Mrs. Romo, our Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, and the support of the competitive Hobbs Grant, music is coming alive in our elementary schools! With new instruments and supplies, our youngest learners are exploring rhythm, melody, and sound like never before. From drums to ukuleles, students are getting hands-on with music—and loving every moment of it! A huge thank you to Mrs. Romo for her vision and dedication. 🐾✨ Future Coyotes in the House! ✨🐾 Last week, JCMS was thrilled to welcome all SVUSD 6th graders to campus for an exciting preview of middle school life! 🎉 Our visiting students were greeted with a warm welcome from the JCMS Band and Student Council, followed by an introduction from Assistant Principal Pizutto and Principal Wright. They got a sneak peek at all the fun, learning opportunities, sports, and activities that await them next year! 🎶📚🏀 Student Council led small group tours across campus, giving 6th graders a chance to ask questions, learn the layout, and hear straight from current students about what to expect. 📬🎉 Congratulations to 3rd Grader Kate T! 🎉📬 We are SO proud of Huachuca Mountain’s very own Kate T, who was selected as a finalist in the Arizona Historical Society’s 3rd Annual Postcard Contest! 🏜️✨ This statewide contest, aligned with Arizona’s History and Social Science standards, invited 3rd graders to create postcards inspired by Arizona’s rich heritage—highlighting the 5 C’s, 22 tribes, geography, and history from prehistoric times to today. 🌵📚 Out of more than 700 participants across eight counties, Kate’s postcard stood out and earned a spot among just 18 finalists! Her beautiful design will be framed and turned into a real postcard! 💌👏 Way to go, Kate!
