Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate something truly special—our students! 🎉
Students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement and exemplary citizenship. Even more meaningful, many of the citizenship awards were voted on by their peers, making this recognition all the more impactful.
We are so proud of the hard work, character, and leadership our students demonstrate every day.
⚡ We are BOLT PROUD! ⚡

What an incredible turnout at yesterday’s SVUSD Enrollment & Family Fair! Thank you to all of the families—both new and returning—who came out to explore what makes Sierra Vista Unified School District such a special place to learn and grow.
From meeting our amazing teachers and learning about our schools and programs, to enjoying games, photo booths, free books, and prizes—it was a great afternoon filled with connection, excitement, and community.
We are so proud to share all that SVUSD has to offer, including our A+ Schools of Excellence and top-performing elementary schools in Cochise County. Events like this remind us how strong our SVUSD family truly is.
If you weren’t able to attend, we still look forward to connecting with you and helping you get enrolled for the upcoming school year!
✨ Thank you for being part of the journey—we loved having you aboard the SVUSD Express!

On Tuesday afternoon, Mrs. McCallister’s and Mrs. Steward’s 5th grade classes came together to celebrate students who achieved their educational goals through the Terrific Kids Program sponsored by the San Pedro Kiwanis under the leadership of Lolene Patcholke. 📚👏
Students set personal goals with their teachers—and when they reach them, they’re recognized with a celebration, prizes, and the chance for parents to share in the moment.
We proudly celebrated:
⭐ 11 students who achieved their goal for the first time this quarter
⭐ 15 students who achieved their goal again for the second quarter in a row
🌟 2 outstanding students who were recognized with a special prize for going above and beyond
We are so proud of these BOLTs and excited to help build a foundation for lifelong goal setting. We are looking forward to even more achievements in the next quarter!
Thank you to the San Pedro Kiwanis volunteers, our hardworking students, and the supportive parents who came out to cheer them on! 💙⚡

This recognition belongs to our entire Bolt community! We are blessed by our dedicated teachers and staff, our incredible students, and our supportive families. Being named an A+ School of Excellence affirms what we already know: Huachuca Mountain is a place where students are known, challenged, and loved, and where learning happens at high levels for all.
We are so proud of this accomplishment and grateful to everyone who makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.

All schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, February 16th in observance of Presidents Day.
We look forward to welcoming students and staff back on Tuesday, February 17th. Enjoy the long weekend! ❤️🤍💙

Students had an incredible time participating in our Food Service SFE Roving Chef Day, where they rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the kitchen to help make fresh pizzas to share with their classmates. From spreading sauce to sprinkling cheese, our young chefs got a hands-on look at what it takes to prepare meals for our schools!
Even our Superintendent, Terri Romo, joined in on the fun and helped out in the kitchen — proving once again that we are truly Achieving Excellence Together.
To top it all off, lunch turned into a full-on celebration with a dance party alongside the SFE chef mascots! 💃🕺 The smiles, laughter, and school spirit filled the cafeteria from wall to wall.
Thank you to our amazing Food Service team and SFE partners for creating such a memorable experience for our students. At Huachuca Mountain Elementary School, learning happens everywhere — even in the kitchen! 👩🍳👨🍳
