Our students had a blast competing in the Grinch Race today! From big smiles to lots of laughs, the energy and excitement were contagious—especially when the Grinch himself made a surprise appearance. Congratulations to our winners and to all of our students who joined in on the fun and showed great spirit!

Huachuca Mountain invited all students and families to ride their bikes to school in honor of Mark LaPaglia and his family. Meghan and Cody, owners of Sun and Spokes, donated a bike to raffle off and Angel Herrera was the winner! We are so grateful for our community in motion!

Student Council celebrated the lives of Veterans by laying wreaths this past weekend. Thank you for all those who have served and continue to serve our great country!

Huachuca Mountain Student Council joined PDS' Council and wrapped presents for Kiwanis Kids over the weekend! Then they worked Santa on the West End to help spread holiday cheer!

Lightning Bolt PTO is sponsoring the Penguin Patch Gift Shop for students to shop for gifts! Items range in price from 50 cents to $15.00, and are appropriate for parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, etc. Proceeds from the Penguin Patch will help the PTO support students and staff. The shop is open Tuesday, 12/16, 9am-2pm, and Wednesday, 12/17, 9am-12 noon.

Student Council has been busy this month! More than 160 families recieved Christmas gifts this year thanks to Shop with a Cop! PDS and HM Student Councils had the opportunity to help spread Christmas cheer by playing games and shopping with law enforcement and community members!

I was delighted to stop by a Kindergarten classroom just as Ms. Silvis and her 2nd grade students arrived for buddy reading. It was wonderful to see the partnerships between students and the joy they share in reading together.
