Huachuca Mountain is truly a special place for kids. Our teaching staff is incredibly caring and professional; their knowledge of building student learning is second to none. Our office staff has been a part of your lives for many years, and remarkably, remembers the name of nearly everyone who walks through our front door. From the cafeteria to the grounds, the adults who come to work every day truly care for your children. Public education is truly my vocation, and I am proud to lead a staff who serves with the same spirit. In 2024-2025, Huachuca Mountain is excited to bring the STEAM training received last year to life for students. As a school community, my goal is to develop our use of cooperative, hands-on learning for students. Huachuca Mountain is also focused on developing writing skills for students, and we can’t wait to see the ideas our students put onto paper. We are truly “public school proud” at Huachuca Mountain, and believe our history of success sets us apart from any other school in our county. Teacher postings will be made soon, as we are continuing to make adjustments to grade levels based on enrollment and staffing needs. 🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 Our Welcome Center is relocating to a brand-new spot at the Rothery Education Center on Fry Blvd. To ensure a smooth transition, our Welcome Center will be closed this Friday, June 7th. Everyone got a shirt for signing, played games, and enjoyed a mini dance party. Our Lower Grades Bots had an amazing time using their PBIS points to buy a pizza experience! Last week, Chef Acosta and his crew joined us for two days, teaching the Bolts how to make their own personal pizzas and a delightful mouse-shaped dessert. Dressed in their perfect outfits, the students even made pizzas for the whole staff and delivered them to the office. What a fun and educational experience! 🌟 Huachuca Mountain Leadership Day 🌟 Friday was Leadership Day at Huachuca Mountain, and it was truly inspiring to see students from Pueblo Del Sol, Town and Country, Huachuca Mountain, Joyce Clark Middle School, and Buena High School come together for an afternoon filled with teamwork and positive peer relations! Led by Principal Perez and Elson, along with Mrs. Galbraith and Mrs. Neitring, our student council members embarked on four different activities aimed at building strong bonds and leadership skills. From problem-solving challenges to collaborative projects, every moment was filled with growth and camaraderie. After an afternoon of hard work, everyone gathered for a delicious dinner together, followed by an exciting kickball game to end the evening on a high note.
