Students had an incredible time participating in our Food Service SFE Roving Chef Day, where they rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the kitchen to help make fresh pizzas to share with their classmates. From spreading sauce to sprinkling cheese, our young chefs got a hands-on look at what it takes to prepare meals for our schools!
Even our Superintendent, Terri Romo, joined in on the fun and helped out in the kitchen β proving once again that we are truly Achieving Excellence Together.
To top it all off, lunch turned into a full-on celebration with a dance party alongside the SFE chef mascots! ππΊ The smiles, laughter, and school spirit filled the cafeteria from wall to wall.
Thank you to our amazing Food Service team and SFE partners for creating such a memorable experience for our students. At Huachuca Mountain Elementary School, learning happens everywhere β even in the kitchen! π©βπ³π¨βπ³

In Arizona, school funding is tied to student enrollment. The number of teachers at Huachuca Mountain are set by the number of students who are enrolled. We love every single member of our team! Please help us, by re-enrolling today! It is so important for us to know what staff we need, based on enrollment. If you are in-zone, you receive priority enrollment. However, out-of-zone enrollment will be opening soon, don't lose your spot! If you have friends or family interested in Huachuca Mountain, have them enroll today!
Remember, we are becoming a K-8 school! Your 6th grade child can stay with us for middle school! I will be hosting another open house to answer questions, but we only have 60 seats for 7th grade. Make sure you reserve your place.

We are excited to invite you to Talk with Terri, a special community listening event with Superintendent Terri Romo.
Thursday, January 29
5:00β6:00 PM
Rothery Education Conference Room
This event is not a presentation or formal meetingβit is a listening tour designed specifically for Superintendent Romo to hear directly from our families. This is an opportunity for parents and guardians to share their questions, concerns, experiences, and ideas as we work together to support students and strengthen our schools.
Superintendent Romoβs priority is to listen, learn, and better understand what matters most to you. Your voice is important, and your feedback will help inform the future of Sierra Vista Unified School District.
Everyone is welcome, and we encourage all families to attend and take part in this open, welcoming conversation about our schools, our community, and our future.
We hope you will join us for this important opportunity to be heard.
