Dear SVUSD Families,
We are excited to invite you to Talk with Terri, a special community listening event with Superintendent Terri Romo.
Thursday, January 29
5:00β6:00 PM
Rothery Education Conference Room
This event is not a presentation or formal meetingβit is a listening tour designed specifically for Superintendent Romo to hear directly from our families. This is an opportunity for parents and guardians to share their questions, concerns, experiences, and ideas as we work together to support students and strengthen our schools.
Superintendent Romoβs priority is to listen, learn, and better understand what matters most to you. Your voice is important, and your feedback will help inform the future of Sierra Vista Unified School District.
Everyone is welcome, and we encourage all families to attend and take part in this open, welcoming conversation about our schools, our community, and our future.
We hope you will join us for this important opportunity to be heard.

Today we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. π
He taught us to be kind, fair, and to stand up for what is right.
Letβs remember his dream by using our words to help, our actions to care, and our hearts to include everyone. π
We hope everyone enjoys their day off, and we canβt wait to welcome everyone back at school tomorrow! π

As you may be aware, Huachuca Mountain Elementary School was notified by the State Department of Education of an award of excellence for our school. On Tuesday, January 6th, we held a whole school assembly where Mr. Tom Horne, Superintendent of Education in Arizona, presented our school with an award of excellence. Check out social media and CoolFM for a recording of the presentation. If you are a proud Bolt family, please share events like these on social media and help us spread the word about the excellence your family experiences everyday.
We received a donation of four bicycles! These will be used to support an attendance challenge! Every time a student is in attendance an entire week, their name will be entered into the bucket to win the bike! The drawing will be March 6th, so students have 7 opportunities to be entered to win a bicycle!

Our students had a blast competing in the Grinch Race today! From big smiles to lots of laughs, the energy and excitement were contagiousβespecially when the Grinch himself made a surprise appearance. Congratulations to our winners and to all of our students who joined in on the fun and showed great spirit!
A special thank you to Balloons and Beyond by Erika for the festive balloon arches that added extra cheer to the day. ππ
