Dear Staff, We will resume our specials schedule with this week being a B week. I am sorry this news was not shared last week, as requested, and that this decision will cause disruptions with this week's and future planning. The last minute decision last week to change specials was made by me in an effort to distribute SST and specials time fairly. 1st, 3rd, and 5th didn’t meet for SST or have specials due to A weeks before and after we returned from fall break. We will examine our Wednesday schedule at our next staff meeting.

🍎🍏 Apple Unit Fun in Ms. French's Class! 🍏🍎 Our students just wrapped up a 2-week apple unit with Ms. French, diving into the life of an apple tree from season to season, learning how a tree begins to grow, and exploring apples using all five senses! 🍃🌸🍎 The grand finale? Making their own homemade applesauce! The kiddos cored, peeled, and mashed the apples, adding a touch of sugar and cinnamon before enjoying their delicious treat straight from the crockpot. It was an exciting Homecoming Week, with fun spreading across all our campuses! 🎉 Staff joined in for Buena Spirit Days, and Huachuca Mountain's STUCO came out to show their support. Huachuca Mountain also welcomed the GO TEAM Therapy Dogs 🐾 on Wednesday to read with their 2nd graders, while Village Meadows celebrated Club Day, recognizing students for being safe, respectful, and responsible. Bella Vista's Ms. Conde’s first-grade class celebrated the 50th day of school, and had help from Buena's National Honor Society members on Tuesday who assisted in the classroom. 🌟 We visited all schools to personally thank our amazing ESS staff (Exceptional Student Services) for the incredible work they’re doing! 💙 This week, we’re kicking off Red Ribbon Week at JCMS, Carmichael, and Huachuca Mountain with themed spirit days. On Friday, Carmichael will host a special Red Ribbon Tying Celebration 🎀. We’re proud to support the Red Ribbon Campaign, the largest drug-abuse prevention campaign in the U.S. On Thursday, your ESS Department is offering an Evening of Learning and Resources for Activities of Daily Living. If you’re interested, join us on Thursday from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Rothery Education Center. On Friday, Town and Country invites Roadrunner families to their PBIS Fall Carnival from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. 🎃 And Huachuca Mountain Student Council and NEHS invite Bolt families to the Monster Mash Dance from 6 PM to 8 PM. Bands from Buena, JCMS, Palominas, and Ft. Huachuca put on an incredible performance! 🎶🏈 As for this week, here’s what’s in store: 📚 PDS is hosting a book fair, spirit week, and their Title I Night on Wednesday evening from 4 PM to 5 PM, with the book fair open for parents. 🌍 Town & Country is having their "Read Around the World" Title I Night on Wednesday evening from 4 PM to 5 PM. ➗ Bella Vista is inviting families to their Math Night on Thursday—where math becomes even more fun! 🏅 Village Meadows will honor their Students of the Month and PBIS champions on Friday. 🎭 Don’t miss out on Heist Quest, a production by the Buena Theatre Arts, with opening night on Friday at 7 PM and a second show on Saturday at 7 PM.
