PDS second graders took a field trip to Peter Piper Pizza on Friday the 5th of May. The group started out learning about nutrition and food choices before having a chance to add toppings to their personal pizza. While the pizzas were cooking the students showed off their knowledge of shapes and fractions. In order to win extra play points they had to practice fractions in their groups with the help of giant cardboard pizzas. After enjoying their pizza there was plenty of time for everyone to have fun playing games and collect their prizes. Thank you to the folks at Peter Piper for a great time!
