During delayed dismissal all students who ride the bus or walk home will be kept in the school until the lightning has passed. Parents are welcome to pick up their students by coming to the office to sign them out. Please bring a photo ID with you to the office. The SVUSD elementary band teachers are inviting all interested elementary parents, guardians and students to visit our Band Rental Night tonight from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Rothery Educational Center Atria. Vendor representatives from three companies will be in attendance to have students try out instruments and offer rental information. Our band teachers Mr. Gallant and Mrs. Sheridan are on site to answer any questions. The Dust Devil PTO is inviting all PDS families to their opening fundraiser for this school year on Wednesday, August 16th at Peter Piper Pizza. Come out between 5pm and 8pm to have pizza, fun and meet other Dust Devil families at the Welcome Back Night. Hope to see you on Wednesday!

Good afternoon. At this time, we are tracking a lightning alert in our area. Lightning is currently within 5 miles of PDS . Students will be held until lightning is no longer in the area. Parents may opt to sign their children out in the front office during the delay, please bring your ID with you if you are picking up your student. We will continue to watch for lightning in the area in the next 30 minutes, if at that time there is no more lightning bus riders and walkers will be released. Thanks for your patience.

Today, Wednesday the 2nd, is an early release day at all SVUSD schools. Elementary School parents, please remember school ends at 12:45 pm today. Thank you for your support and welcome back!


Who is ready to start school?!?!?! All SVUSD schools have their first day on Wednesday, August 2nd. We are excited to have everyone back after the summer break. Just a few reminders, buses will be out in the community so please be cautious when driving. There are a lot of first day jitters so routes may take a little longer than normal. Drivers, be on the lookout for all school zones and remember to slow down. Be sure to load your MySchoolBucks account so your students can buy meals if they need. Wednesday is an early release day. Elementary ends at 12:45pm, JCMS ends at 2:15pm and Buena ends at noon. We cannot wait to see everyone on Wednesday!
