Dear Palominas Families, We hope this letter finds you well and excited for the upcoming school year. We wanted to inform you about some important updates regarding transportation for the 2024-2025 school year. This year, both Sierra Vista Unified School District (SVUSD) and Palominas School District have encountered challenges with transportation due to bus driver vacancies and the limited availability of those able to fill these positions. As a result, SVUSD buses will be providing transportation for Palominas students to Buena High School, a change from previous years. To ensure a smooth transition, we will be utilizing the routes that Palominas created last year. Please note that these routes may change based on ridership, but we will provide ample notice of any adjustments. 🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 Our Welcome Center is relocating to a brand-new spot at the Rothery Education Center on Fry Blvd. To ensure a smooth transition, our Welcome Center will be closed this Friday, June 7th. Each graduate will receive 2 parking passes. For everyone else, we’re offering a FREE shuttle service from the Mall at Sierra Vista! 🅿️ Shuttle parking is available in the northeast corner of the mall parking lot by Dillard's and Applebee's. Check the attached image for the exact pick-up point. Shuttle Schedule: Start Time: 5:30 PM Frequency: Every 15-20 minutes until 7:00 PM Return Service: Starts at the conclusion of the ceremony, with the last shuttle leaving an hour after the ceremony ends.
